The overall performance of Alpha Olefin Sulfonate (AOS) is . It shows excellent emulsifying, decontaminating and foaming performance even in hard water. AOS is preferred for its strong foaming power, good compatibility and biogradability, lower toxicity and irritation.
 
AOS is now being used in oil field exploration, starch processing, wool washing, textile, industrial/household detergents and paper making.
