Sodium Molybdate
Sodium molybdate, chemical formula Na2MoO4, is a white diamond shaped crystal. Molybdenum trioxide can be generated by oxidizing and roasting molybdenum concentrate, and then leached with liquid alkali to produce sodium molybdate solution. After filtration, concentration, cooling, centrifugation, and drying, it can be prepared.

Molybdate has low toxicity and low degree of environmental pollution, making it a widely used new type of water treatment agent. In order to achieve better slow-release effect, molybdate is often used in combination with polyphosphate, gluconate, zinc salt, and benzotriazole. This not only reduces the amount of molybdate used, but also improves the corrosion inhibition effect. After compounding, the amount of molybdate used decreases from 200-500mg/L to 4-6mg/L. During the film formation process of molybdate, there must be dissolved oxygen present, without the need for calcium ions (or other divalent metal ions). Molybdate has high thermal stability and can be used in circulating water systems with high heat flux density and local overheating.
