Silica gel is a granular, non-toxic, and odorless desiccant. It is highly porous and has a large surface area, which makes it effective for moisture absorption. It is insoluble in water and most solvents, has a high thermal stability, and is chemically inert. It is non-flammable and does not support microbial growth.
