In vitro studies have shown that Dibenzoylmethane can increase the expression of HO-1 and Nrf2 proteins, and at certain concentrations, increase the phosphorylation protein levels of Erk1/2, p38MAPK, JNK and Akt.
In animal experiments, Dibenzoylmethane pretreatment significantly reduced CCl4 induced liver damage.
