Product description

It is a white or light yellow crystalline solid at room temperature, with slight deliquescence. Hygroscopic. At high temperature, it is decomposed into sodium oxalate and hydrogen, and then sodium carbonate is generated. Dissolve in about 1.3 parts of water. Soluble in glycerol, slightly soluble in ethanol and octanol, insoluble in ether. Its aqueous solution is alkaline. Relative density 1.92. Melting point 253 ºC. 

Application

It is used as camouflage acid in leather industry, chromium tanning process, catalyst and stabilizing synthetic agent, reducing agent in printing and dyeing industry, and in the production of insurance powder, oxalic acid. Precipitate precious metals. Complex ions of trivalent metals can be formed in solution. It has buffering effect and can correct the pH value of strong acid.
Used for alkyd resin coatings, plasticizers, high explosives, acid resistant materials, aviation lubricants, adhesives and additives.
