Purpose:
1. Used as a bonding agent and coloring agent for enamel, as well as a pigment for ceramics and glass. In the production of magnetic materials, it is used to produce nickel zinc ferrite, as well as to manufacture nickel salt raw materials, nickel catalysts, and applied in metallurgy and cathode ray tubes. Used as electronic component materials, catalysts, enamel coatings, and battery materials.
2. NiO can be used for the reduction of nickel elemental, but it is important not to use CO to reduce NiO without protection. This is because Ni reacts with CO to produce highly toxic and volatile tetracarbonyl nickel Ni (CO) 4, which is difficult to detoxify and prone to danger.
