in water, with a solubility of approximately 256 g/100 mL at 20°C, and it is also soluble in alcohol. Potassium acetate has a melting
point of 292°C and decomposes upon heating, releasing acetic acid vapors. The compound has a density of 1.57 g/cm³. In its solid
form, it can absorb moisture from the air, making it hygroscopic. Potassium acetate is commonly used in applications requiring a
buffering agent, as it forms a mildly alkaline solution when dissolved in water. Its electrical conductivity in aqueous solution makes
