Physical and chemical properties: colorless transparent liquid, non-dangerous goods. Odorless, salty. Easily soluble in water, solubility at 100ºC 231g/100ml water. Molecular formula, MgS2O36H2O, molecular weight 244.53, density (g/mL,25ºC) : 1.818, melting point, 1700ºC. Do not put undiluted or large amounts of the product into contact with groundwater, waterways or sewage systems, and do not release the material into the surrounding environment without government permission. Magnesium thiosulfate is colorless orthorhombic prismatic crystal with neutral aqueous solution and insoluble in ethanol and ether. When heated to 170 ° C, the crystal water loses 3 molecules and begins to decompose when heated to a higher temperature.

 

Uses: Used as dechlorination agent and printing and dyeing auxiliaries after cotton fabric bleaching, and used as detergent, disinfectant and chemical reagent in medicine. Mainly used as pharmaceutical raw materials.
