Description:
Sodium persulfate, also known as sodium hypersulfate, is an inorganic compound, chemical formula Na2S2O8, white crystalline powder, soluble in water, insoluble in ethanol, mainly used as a bleaching agent, oxidant, emulsion polymerization promoter. Sodium persulfate is easy to delix, can gradually decompose in wet air, high temperature can accelerate decomposition, release oxygen and become sodium pyrosulfate. Easily soluble in water, the aqueous solution is 549g/L at 20ºC. An aqueous solution is an acidic reaction. Can be decomposed by alcohol and silver ions.

Application:
(1)Polymerization: the initiator of latex or acrylic monomer polymerization liquid, but also styrene, butadiene and other colloid copolymerization initiator.
(2)Metal treatment: Treatment of metal surfaces (e.g. in semiconductor manufacturing: cleaning and etching of printed circuits), activation of copper and aluminum surfaces.
(3)Cosmetics: The main ingredient in a bleaching formula.
(4)Paper: Starch modification, wet strength paper repulping.
(5)Textiles: depulping agents and bleach - especially for low temperature bleaching.

Storage:
Sodium persulfate belongs to non-flammable products, but because of the release of oxygen and combustion, storage, must be stored in a dry, closed container, avoid direct sunlight, not near the heat source, not with organic matter and rust, a small amount of metal and other reducing substances contact, in order to prevent the decomposition of sodium persulfate, explosion. Avoid direct contact with eyes, skin, and clothing during use because of the bleaching and mild corrosion effects of the moist sodium persulfate powder and its aqueous solution.
